IPPR UPDATE!
The Minimum Environmental Criteria for the construction sector have recently been updated: published on 3 December 2025 and coming into force on 2 February 2026, they update and replace the previous 2022 edition and also incorporate the amendment of 5 August 2024, representing a key tool for guiding the sector towards sustainable solutions.
In the context of Green Public Procurement, the CAMs set out the environmental requirements that contracting authorities must incorporate, distinguishing between mandatory minimum criteria and bonus criteria that contribute to the awarding of tender scores.
The requirement for recycled content has been confirmed: the new CAM specifies that self-declarations are no longer valid and that the percentage of recycled material or by-products (distinguished between interior and exterior) must be clearly stated on the certificate.
